Star Wars Puzzle Blaster -THQ Wireless (2005) -Played on a Motorola Rokr
Summary: The disembodied heads of Star Wars characters haunt your waking nightmare. My Thoughts:
The lineup of floating heads includes some of the best characters from Star Wars. C-3PO, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Darth Maul, General Grievous, and a lucky Royal Guard are all ready to have their heads shot off. There are a few heads with special abilities that can help clear out the playfield. Zam Wessell (wait, how did the useless changeling that didn’t change into anything get in this game?) will mimic the snood it touches. The clone trooper will destroy nearby snoods. Darth Vader will "blaze right through snoods just as he blazed through the Jedi order." And yes, that is an actual quote from the game. I guess Vader likes to blaze now. Yoda, well Yoda is kind of useless. His snood head is rare and isn't seen often, so all it really does is get in the way. There are three modes to select from: advanced snood, snood hunter, and multiplayer. I’m not quite sure what is so advanced about the advanced snood mode because it seemed like a normal game of snood and was easy to complete. It added more snoods and lines of snoods as the levels progressed. Snood hunter changes things a little where the lines of snoods move left or right during gameplay. Both advanced and hunter have two modes you can play in: level or puzzle. Level just lets you shoot and clear snoods until it says stop, whereas puzzle has a set number and formation of snoods on the playfield that you must clear. The graphics are not too great, but they are probably as good as they can be considering you’re looking at lots of tiny Star Wars heads. The background is a plain star field. There are no in-game sound effects, but there is the Star Wars theme at the title screen. Speaking of the title screen, I would almost say it's the best thing about the game because it looks pretty slick. I also officially hate the word ‘snood.’ I hope I never have to use it again.
