SDCC '09 Cosplay Gallery

Cosplayers abounded at Comic-con this year. There was a great mix with superheroes, videogames, TV, cartoons, anime, and movie characters, along with some that I have no idea what they were for. There were some costumes worn en masse, such as Harley Quinn, Catwoman, random Star Trek Starfleet uniformed people, Sailor Scouts, Jedi, and Battlestar Galactica pilots. Since many people were dressed as the same thing, I didn't bother taking so many photos. One or two of a character was enough. Strangely enough there were also a lot of girls dressed up as slutty Pikachu. I don't know if sexy Pokemon had become the new thing or if the Pika-slut costume was readily available, but it was just odd that so many girls decided to dress up like it. It was great to see so many Venture Brothers characters at the 'con though, because The Venture Brothers is the greatest cartoon ever made. There were a few costumes I missed, but there was so much craziness and so many people in the aisles that you either never see those cosplayers, or you lose track of where they went. By far, the best cosplayer was the fine lass dressed as Lady Deadpool. She displayed more relentless energy and vigor for photo ops than any cosplayer I have ever seen. Good work, Lady Deadpool, I give you the two gun salute. Hold on to your butts and enjoy the many cosplay photos from SDCC '09.

Lady Deadpool was the best cosplayer at SDCC '09. I've never seen anyone with so much energetic wackiness.

Nariko from Heavenly Sword here was the best dressed. Where's your sword, Nariko?

We may never have a Street Fighter Vs. Mortal Kombat game, but at least there's this Ryu and Kitana super team-up.

Claire Redfield from Resident Evil: Code Veronica dreams of killing My Little Pony zombies someday.

It's that new girl from Dead Space: Extraction, except she's not screaming her head off.

Kato wasn't actually here with the Green Hornet car. He was a cosplayer who just happened to be taking pictures of the car at the same time I was. That, my friends, is good timing.

Claire wanted to show off that her costume is all authentic-looking with the custom vest detailing. Nice work, Claire.

I think these are Tokidoki girls. They look like they would be, at least.

These Planet of the Apes costumes were amazing. They looked like real dirty apes.

Star Trek: The Experience has a whole new experience for you.

Robot spiders should be terrifying, yet Black Arachnia seems surprisingly sweet.

Is this Mirage from Transformers Animated? I haven't watched the show in a while.

I don't know what they're from, but their costumes look great. Except for the ultra-fake bald cap and beard.

I wonder if Elektra is a Skrull in disguise...

Balrog poses for his character select portrait.

Random elf girl from some game is full of happy.

Now this is a crossover I want to see: Battlestar Galactica Vs. Star Trek.

Sub Zero is about to punch another Kitana in her chest and out of his life.

That girl behind Raychul as Cammy is totally taking a picture of her ass.

Stormtrooper Elvis is old news, but Overweight Asian Jedi Elvis? That is pure comedy gold.

How did this Scout Trooper capture himself a Yoko? Her gun is a bazillion times the size of his!

The Monarch, Sergeant Hatred, and Baron Ünderbeit represented most awesomely.

I'm sure these two are from some anime.

One of the many Pikachu girls at the show. Seriously, there were a lot of these.

The Predators about to give Ahsoka some pain.

How the hell does the Black Queen keep her boobs from falling out?

A Supergirl with a shiny velvet costume.

A Stormtrooper teams-up with this angel-winged chick. Is she from the Dante's Inferno game? Or is it Aion?

I don't know is these two were dressed as characters or just wanted to Goth it up.

Animated style Blitzwing, Bumblebee, and another Pika-slut.

Like a real ninja, Storm Shadow jumped in a second before I took this photo.

A Stormtrooper sneaks up on Deadpool as he embarks in crazy gun antics.

Josie Lee as busty Slave Leia.

Those Klingons have a bad complexion problem with their foreheads.

In the game, the Clown Princess from Castle Crashers freaked me out when she revealed her face.

And the Castle Crashers themselves.

It's very cool to see Mad Max get some cosplay love.

Clockwork Orange Girl brought a bit of the ol' ultra-violence to Comic-con.

Isaac from Dead Space was having costume issues, but managed to pose for a quick photo.

I don't think Mr. Freeze could hear too well inside his helmet.

Buy the art of Celine Chapus or Six will annihilate the human race.

Mildly agitated Akuma.

It's Mario as a Boo! With a badge stuck directly in his eye.

Hey kid, there's something eating your head. Kid?

Some chick from some game no one's ever going to play.

You could buy a figure of Stormtrooper Commander at the Hasbro booth.

One of many dressed as Catwoman, Batman, and Robin. Well, maybe not so much Robin.

Red Tornado looks kind of bored with his random anime girl.

City of Heroes is still around, eh? Well, here are some girls for it.

Do not hit on Princess Daisy and Princess Peach or their steampunk father will murder you.

These Miss March girls wanted guys to take pictures of their butts, but I got their fronts. I defy you, booth babes!

Dr Girlfriend as the Monarch's queen and herself. Oh, and Lady Deadpool is about to do something crazy again.

Snake and Zak. At least Zak wasn't another Cloud.

Batgirl gets interviewed by bubbly pink reporter girl.

Homicidal Maniac Princesses?

Are they supposed to be porcelain dolls or are they more anime characters that I don't know?

These girls look out of place here.

One of many Harley Quinns and another Catwoman.

Please, close your mouth. Think of the children.

There they are, the children. In a few years they'll be just like the other girls on this page.

Cobra has some nicer looking recruits this year. It's about time I joined an evil organization determined to rule the world.

Hey, three Ugly Dolls. I'm sorry, that was really mean. I quite like Sailor Scouts or similar types of Scouts.

I don't know what these are. Now I do. I was told these two are called Hoops & Yoyo.

What is happening?! Apparently they're selling greeting cards. That's what they do. They're actually pretty funny.

ZOMG!

The Monarch's henchmen ready to be easily defeated.

You got to love Lando's sense of humor. He has a Colt 45 can in his holster.

The first girl on the left isn't in Tekken 6, but she would definitely fit in. The others are Lili, Miguel, Leo, and Anna.

More Predators!

Oh, the Predators just want to keep Ahsoka as a pet. Sounds reasonable.

The Resident Evil crew with a very sleepy Sheva.

Marvel superheroes and... Poison Ivy? What's she doing in there?
