ReAction Figures Get a Massive Reveal

Funko and Super7's retro-styled ReAction line had a massive reveal through Entertainment Earth with a crazy number of 60+ figures. I knew they would be making a lot of figures, but I wasn't expecting this many all at once. All these figures will be coming from June - October of this year. The ReAction line includes The Terminator, Predator, Escape from New York, Back to the Future, Universal Monsters, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Rocketeer, Goonies, The Crow, Pulp Fiction, and the main horror characters like Freddy, Jason, Pinhead, Michael Myers, Ghostface, and Trick 'R' Treat's Sam. That is a ton of figures.

You are one retro mother...

There are photos for some of the figures that show off the figure an its retro-styled packaging. I ordered the Alien ReAction figures at SDCC last year. These were cool because these were actually scheduled to be produced at one point, but were cancelled. All these new properties are done in the same 70's/early 80's 3.75" figure style as the Alien figures. I love the Alien figures, but from the photos revealed so far, I'm not digging a lot of these. Maybe it's just the photos, so hopefully we'll see better photos something out of Toy Fair soon.

The original Snake.

Personally, I don't have much of an interest in properties from the 90s and beyond done in this retro style. Firefly, Buffy, Pulp Fiction, Nightmare Before Christmas, and some of the horror characters are out for me just because they seem to "new" for 70s and early 80s retro figure. That's just me, though, as I know a lot of people probably love that their favorite show/movie is getting retro figures. Even though it's from the 90s, a Rocketeer figure would be super cool, but I'm not liking the look of it in ReAction style. Maybe it's the bobble-head look when it has the helmet on. The Goonies is classic 80s flick, but I have no affinity for it (shocking, I know), so those are out, too. While I won't be getting any, The Nightmare Before Christmas figures actually look really good, although I'm sure that because they were originally claymation and not live-action is why they work so well in ReAction style.

The Terminator Endoskeleton comes in regular and chrome.

For now I'm down for a masked Predator, Terminator Endoskeleton, and Snake Plissken. So far I'm not into the look of the unmasked Predator for this line, but I'll wait until I see better photos of it and the rest of the Terminator figures before I decide. I'm very interested in seeing what how the Back to the Future figures turn out. Many of us could definitely use Doc and Marty in that 1:15 scale DeLorean. The Universal Monsters might be neat. I do like the look of the packaging for these, too. Check out the full line-up and few images at Entertainment Earth as we wait for more photos of the rest of the figures.

The Nightmare Before Christmas figures work very well in ReAction style.

Sorry, Rocketeer, but I might have to pass.
