Enjoy this out-of-context action shot from Prometheus.

  • Entertainment Weekly has printed/posted the first photos form Ridley Scott's Prometheus. It certainly has the right look and aesthetic so far for a film that takes place before Alien that's not really an Alien prequel, but will kind of be an Alien prequel at the end.

  • The 2009 Star Trek sequel will be out on May 17th, 2013, even though they still haven't fixed the timeline yet.

  • The Stop Online Piracy Act could allow corporations to shut down websites without any provocation. It's wording is very vague and lots of great websites, like this one or bigger gaming sites that matter in the larger gaming world, could get shut down if the bill passes. Sign the form to help put a stop to SOPA.

  • Silent Hill 2 in the Silent Hill HD Collection will have an option for the original voice acting. However, Silent Hill 3 will not have the option and only feature new voices. It's cool that SH2 will have the original voices, but still weird that SH3 won't.

  • Sony announced MotorStorm RC, which makes MotorStorm cars into little RC cars. It'll be out for PSN and Vita and when you buy one you get both versions. It's kind of like a Blu-ray/DVD movie combo, but in digital form.

  • Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 will be released in North America in February 2012. We can experience the ridiculous Keiji Inafune attacks first hand.

  • G.Rev is making a shooter for the 3DS called Kokuga which has a power-up system that uses cards. You'll get 20 cards at the beginning of a stage and will have to flip cards over to see what you have and touch them to use power-ups. It sounds like an interesting idea, but it's G.Rev so it could be a mixed bag.

A boy bear in female wrestling gear: comedy gold.

  • It's another week with some wacky Tekken-themed news, this time for Street Fighter X Tekken. A new batch of screenshots show that the Street Fighter and Tekken characters get to cross-dress as one another. Streets Fighters have Tekken outfits and vise-versa. This includes a few standouts such as Chun Li in a panda outfit, Cammy in a King outfit, Kuma is dressed in R. Mika's costume, Yoshimitsu in Bison's gear, Heihachi in Sodom's outfit, Zangief wearing Kuma's skin, and Poison with the devil gene. The more I see of Street Fighter X Tekken, the more I like it. My only hope is that Toro and Kuro remain in the North American PS3 release.

  • It doesn't come out till March 2012, but BioWare has made a video for the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3. There's nifty stuff like a metal case, art book, lithograph, N7 patch, an extra character and mission, and perhaps best of all, a robot dog buddy.

  • Atlus has made an unboxing video showing off The King of Soundtracks, the amazing 4-disc pre-order bonus for The King of Fighters XIII. Even though it's in a foldout cardboard case, it's still one of the best pre-order bonuses in the past couple years.

  • Assassin's Creed: Revelations is getting Ancestors DLC on December 13th. This will have four new characters to play as in the multiplayer modes.

These jets will betray each other at least once a year.

  • Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is getting awesome yet overpriced DLC in a pair of SU-35 jets with paint jobs of Tekken's Kazuya and Jin. Dog fighting in a Kazuya jet would be pretty cool, but 600 Yen is a bit much. These will probably be $6 or more whenever they hit the North American PSN and XBLA. There will also be more Tekken tie-ins in the future which will probably be just as overpriced as these are.

  • Saints Row: The Third's penetrator, you know the enormous purple dildo baseball bat, is being altered for the Japanese release. Normally the weapon is floppy and has veins, but Japan is removing the veins and making it not floppy, so it's fully erect. Yes, that means you should buy both versions.

  • There's going to be a Gundam Unicorn game for the PS3 in Japan. It will have three stories told from three different characters and cover the first three episodes of the anime. This needs to be released in North America. They released the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games over here, so why not?

  • The Limited Edition Zelda 3DS looks classy. Too bad it doesn't have that second analog stick like the new 3DS model will probably have.

  • The multiplayer maps in Halo: Anniversary will also be sold separately for Halo: Reach players that don't want Anniversary. But, why would Halo: Reach players not want to play Halo: Anniversary?

"And this is for not having any raccoons in Raccoon City!"

  • Rocket Raccoon and Frank West have been officially announced for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Rocket Raccoon is incredibly bad-ass and will probably be in every UMVC3 team of mine. When Rocket beats Chris Redfield, he says "That's for letting them mess up Raccoon City, ya wanker!" Nice. Frank West is also pretty cool. UMVC3's Galactus mode was actually inspired by a hack for X-Men Vs. Street Fighter where you could play as Apocalypse. So, that's interesting.

  • Gearbox proves how awesome they are again by having Claptrap say a short eulogy about a fan who died. They're also putting the fan as an NPC in Borderlands 2. Seriously awesome.

  • The new DMC trailer shows a Dante with white hair in or a few seconds for all you Dante with black hair haters.

  • Some insane person bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on eBay for $1,725. Did they actually pay? If so, did they get 1 day shipping? Because otherwise they wouldn't get it until Tuesday, if not later.

  • There's going to be a Heavy Rain Director's Cut on November 8th. It'll include the Taxidermist DLC, soundtrack, and making-of stuff.

  • Sony filed a patent for a biometric controller. It could change the game depending on your stress level. Man, I have enough stress in my life, I don't need it transferred to videogames.

Movies

  • The 23rd Bond movie has been officially announced. It's called Skyfall and will once again star Daniel Craig. Skyfall is a pretty weak title for a Bond movie.
