Games

Yes, Mario can jump the flagpole.

GameTrailers finally proves that Mario can jump the flagpole in Super Mario Bros. I knew I hadn't dreamt it up and that I actually did it all those years ago.

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 will be Mark Hamill's last performance of The Joker.

Insomniac is going multi-platform and will bring their some new awesome games to gamers that don't have a PS3. Their latest blogcast has a look at their cancelled game, "Girl with a Stick."

Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden is being added to Super Mario Bros. Crossover with the Version 1.1 update.

This Nerf Halo rifle is pretty cool.

Lost Planet 2 has some unlockable Japanese T-shirts you can get just by entering a code.

There is a Monster Hunter spin-off in Japan called Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village. It looks way too cute and Capcom wants to know if fans want it in the 'states.

Sega has announced a new Sonic game for the DS and Wii called Sonic Colors. I guess it's colorful.

Movies

The Mass Effect movie will be made by Legendary Pictures with Mark Protosevich set to write the screenplay. BioWare founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk and Mass Effect executive producer Casey Hudson will be executive producers, so there's a chance that the movie could be ok. I'm guessing they'll be going with a male Shepard for the film.

Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes will be producing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I've got a bad feeling that this could turn into the same kind of garbage as Transformers: RotF.

James McAvory has been cast as a young Professor X in X-Men: First Class. He better not have hair!

The Logan's Run remake is still unfortunately happening with brand new director Carl Rinsch directing.

Movies / TV

1950s Chewbacca is kind of terrifying.

Someone made a pre-make of The Empire Strikes Back using footage from 1950s movies. Some of the scenes are amazingly accurate.

The new Joe cartoon, G.I. Joe: Renegades, will being October 10th on the Hasbro channel.

A dude named Alex Popov made his own AVP fan film, Alien Vs. Predator: Redemption, and it's pretty damn good. The whole thing was made for only $500.

Rambo V could be made without Stallone. If Stallone isn't in it, then it's not Rambo.

It looks like Megan Fox won't be returning for Transformers 3. That's just going to be weird, whether the movie sucks or not. Meanwhile, Shia LaBeouf basically admitted that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sucked. Good for him. I guess we'll see if he'll actually be back in the sequels.

Awesome

Japan gets all the cool life-size robots.

The life-size Gundam and Tetsujin weren't enough. Japan will now be building a life-size EVA-01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion, but only from the shoulders up. I'm sure they'll build the rest of the body someday... and make it fully functional so it can take over the world with Gundam and Tetsujin. There will also be a life-size EVA cockpit where people can have their photos taken as they sob about war.

Games

The next piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC will be titled Overload and should be out in June. There will be five missions about fighting robots on a planet that can supposedly be freely explored with the Mako. Exploration with the Mako is something I would've loved for the entire game instead of all that mining.

LittleBigPlanet 2 has been announced. The slick trailer shows you won't only make levels, but entire games.

The Helghast are invading Lost Planet 2. In June, Helghast skins will be free to download... on the PS3, naturally. This is a good fit.

Fallout: New Vegas will have a super swank Collector's Edition. It'll include the hardcover graphic novel "All Roads," playing cards, poker chips, and a making-of DVD al in a sweet box.

The 3D Dot Game Heroes Mini Game Rap is amazing.

You can't have your own Scarlett Johannson, but Hot Toys' amazing 1/6 scale Black Widow figure from Iron Man 2 is the next best thing.

The A-Team van is in-scale with 3&3/4" figures and will be out in June. There are A-Team figures, too, but they're not nearly as exciting as the van.

Two of NECA's SDCC exclusives are Jace from the Gears of War comic series and Big Sister Eleanor with Saved Little Sister two-pack from BioShock 2.

The Batman: Arkham Asylum figures will be revealed in the June issue of ToyFare.

There was a Wampa Skin Rug at ThinkGeek, but it sold out in a Hoth minute.

Haim Saban has bought back the rights to Power Rangers form Disney. So yes, the Power Rangers will return with a brand new show in 2011.

The literal translation of the Resident Evil: Afterlife trailer is much better than the original.

It looks like Isaac has a case of the space crazies in Dead Space 2.

The debut trailer for Dead Space 2 doesn't have any awesome space train footage, but it's still pretty cool.

You may have seen the Halo: Reach live action commercial, but here's the extended version.

B ungie has signed with Activision for the next ten years. Bungie's next game will not be based on one of their previous games, but it will be multiplatform.

Best Buy's Transformers: War for Cybertron is Jazz. Wait, why is Jazz a pre-order bonus? He's a big enough name Transformer to be in the game proper, like Warpath and Barricade.

The black Wii is finally coming to America.

A rare demo of NBA 2 Ball was found by some guy who might put it up on eBay. Apparently this demo was given out at the 1998 NBA All Star game, is really crappy, and very few still exist.

I guess Mad Catz can make the Tournament Edition joysticks for companies other than Capcom because soon there will be BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Tournament Edition sticks.

Remember when a ton of Game Crazy stores closed earlier this year? Now all the rest will be closing. The remaining Game Crazy stores will start having liquidation sales soon.

The Complete Metropolis is heading to Blu-ray and DVD with 25 extra minutes added into the film

It's the first image from the Thor movie, Thor at a weird angle.

A third America Ring movie will get made, but it's going to be Ring 3D. Bleh.

Figures

SOTA will be making an 18-inch Ryu statue for their own 10th anniversary.

Valve is making Left 4 Dead plushies. The first is a Boomer. I wouldn't call it cute since it's obese, covered in tumors, and still looks really gross.
