I expect some saucy
Chocolina cosplay at the 2012 conventions. |
-
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have a traveling merchant called
Chocolina, who is a
lady cosplaying as a Chocobo. So, what they're
really saying is that the game still won't have any shops in any towns.
However, maybe we'll get some nice cosplay out of it in next year's
conventions. Also, Assassin's Creed's
Ezio will lend his outfit as a DLC costume for FFXIII-2's Noel. Weird, but
Ezio's outfit looks a lot better than Noel's garbage default getup. Finally,
don't worry, there is not a Final Fantasy XIII-3; the
domain name was a registered as defensive measure by Square-Enix to
prevent domain name swoopers from swooping. Although, they could just be
saying that until they actually decide to do a XIII-3 instead of making
Versus XIII or FFXV or a FFVII remake.
-
Army Corps of Hell will be a launch title for the Vita in
North America. The enemy Beelzeboon was inspired by the old Final Fantasy
II monster Beelzebub. I wonder if there will be any other FF cameos
in the game.
-
Europe is finally getting Catherine in February 2012. They'll
also receive a
Stray Sheep Edition, but it's a little different than the North American
one. Europe gets the same pizza box with a poster, two coasters, and the Rave
shirt we should have gotten.
-
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will get a
Version 2012 patch that rebalances all the characters. I wouldn't be
surprised if Capcom actually put this on a disc, too.

We have Donkey Kong Jenga, but I suspect we'll see Super Mario Jenga
eventually because of
Super Mario Balance Block in Japan.
