• The North American release of Catherine is even more official now that there are the first English screenshots of Vincent, Catherine, and Katherine. Catherine's box art will not be changed for North America, however, there will be alternate cover art for the more sensitive retailers that don't like suggestive cleavage or backsides.

• This new promo video for Shadows of the Damned features Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami is awesomely ridiculous. The voice-overs are overly dramatic, but in a good way. One of the weapon names? Big Boner.

• In one of the weirdest things ever, Keiji Inafune is in Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk. II. He has his own attacks, too. There is a beam that comes out of his mouth and a sword shaped like Inafune folding his arms. Let's hope the actual game is better this time.

• Converse is celebrating Mario's 25th Anniversary with some Mario Chuck Taylors. They come in black or white, have 8-bit Marios all over, and the invincibility star replaces the Chuck star. These will be out in Japan in July.

• PlayStation network should be back up sometime this week. Mostly everything should be back up except for the PlayStation Store. Everyone will get a free 30 days of PlayStation Plus and there will be free content later.

• The new table to be added to Marvel Pinball is Fantastic Four. Meanwhile, Zen Studios has a tournament for the Pinball FX2 Mars table.

• May's 3DS firmware update will includes a free 3D version of the original Excite Bike. Now that's a cool firmware addition.

• Producer Motohide Eshiro said Capcom is open to Okami and God Hand sequels. We could definitely use more God Hand. We just got Okamiden, but another game in the series would be great.

• The $80 worth of cosmetic DLC for Portal 2 the day it was released was ridiculous, but at least the first piece of real DLC will be free for everyone.

• Mario becomes more of a jerk when he uses the Portal gun.

• You can vote for your favorite Falcom heroines. The top three will be turned in to Nendoroid figures. They have a lot more heroines than I thought.

• Dynasty Warriors 7 will get some oddly awesome school uniform DLC. Ancient China needs more school spirit.

• You can get your own slick pair of Persona 4 glasses for your face.

• Mega Man Legends 3 still may not be officially coming out, but at least there will be a Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version available when the Nintendo 3DS eShop launches. Prototype Version will introduce a new character to Legends, Barrett. He may have a flying motorcycle, but he's no Mega Man.

• Mortal Kombat can re-balance gameplay without players having to download a patch. I've seen one Reptile move endlessly repeated that could probably be made less cheap by this. If you want, you can watch all the Fatalities in one ten-minute video. I'm going to try to wait and watch them in-game. And speaking of MK, Playboy's Jo Garcia fought UFC's Brittney Palmer in Mortal Kombat. Brittney won by button-mashing. Lame. At least there's girls.

• There are two new Mass Effect 3 screenshots. A whole two! It may not be much, but it's getting me excited.

• Unfortunately, The Last Guardian has been delayed. Maybe we'll see it in 2012 then. Edge also has an interview with Fumito Ueda, Team ICO's creative director.

• This NeoGeo made of wood could be the classiest game console around.

• This new Duke Nukem Forever trailer has some nudity and is set to Lo Fidelity All Stars' "Battleflag." Awesome.

• Tokyo Jungle, the game where animals fight one another in a human-less Tokyo, has surprisingly not been cancelled given the state of abandoned animals after Japan's disasters.

• Aksys has responded to Atlus' Catherine question and its hilariously awesome.

• Europe is getting a Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector's Edition that is slightly better than ours. It's mainly the Augmented Edition with a Play Arts Kai Adam Jensen action figure.

• Yoshinoro Ono has teased the Street Fighter X Tekken character select screen. Blurry characters!

• Meowvel Vs. Catcom, the fightstick.

Movies / TV

• The Gobots, along with The Herculoids and Mr. T cartoons, will be arriving on DVD soon. More specifically, it looks like they'll be a part of WB Shop's Manufacture On Demand. I completely forgot that the full name of the Gobots cartoon was Challenge of the Gobots. The Rock Lords movie will not be a part of the set, which is probably for the best.

• The Dark Knight Rises casting rumors can stop. Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play cop John Blake and Marion Cotillard will play Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate. Are we done with all the casting rumors now?

• The new trailer for Twisted Metal is chock full of psychos and car combat destruction. Will there be cheesy live-action cuts-scenes in the actual game? If so, then awesome! Also Axel is back, but only as a pre-order bonus for some reason.

• From Captivate 2011 comes loads of screens, trailers and info for Street Fighter X Tekken, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Asura's Wrath, Dead Rising: Off the Record, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

• How about some Kitana, Mileena, and Sonya European cosplay videos featuring breasts? That's certainly a great way to promote Mortal Kombat.

• Ozma Wars, one of SNK's earliest games, and Sasuke Vs. Commander will both be hitting PSN as part of the NeoGeo Station. Ozma Wars is a shooter from 1979 and Sasuke Vs. Commander is from 1980, so neither probably actually never appeared on the NeoGeo.

• Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the game by Todd McFarlane, R.A. Salvatore, and Ken Rolston, has a new trailer debuting the gameplay. It's looking pretty good so far.

• Catherine has been doing well, so Index Holdings and Atlus have officially made it into a new franchise and are developing future plans. Atlus is also is running a scandalous promotion for Catherine. They want you to answer if you want to get married, and if it's to the person you're with now. Yikes. Atlus will put their favorite responses into a new trailer. I foresee break-ups thanks to Catherine.

• The new Sorcerer's Lair table will be heading to Zen Pinball on the PS3. This one will have a real pinball wizard.

• After being delayed, MotorStorm: Apocalypse is back on for May 3rd.

• Burnout Crash might be focusing on the return of Crash Mode from previous Burnouts. Well, if that wasn't already obvious from the name.

• You can actually pilot a Battlestar or Cylon Basestar in Battlestar Galactica Online. If you have enough merits you can pilot one of the lead ships for an hour, or until it's destroyed. Neat.

• Sega removed the free Streets of Rage fan remake to "protect their intellectual property rights." Protect it how? They haven't touched Streets of Rage in decades. The game was free, took eight years to complete, and Sega was okay with it before it came out. Jerks.

Movies

• The apes are loose in the first Rise of the Planet of the Apes trailer. It feels like there's one "of the" too many in the title.

• David Hayter will adapt the novel Dragonflight into a film.

• There will be a Mass Effect anime by T.O. Entertainment and Funimation. I'm sure it won't star my Commander Shepard, though. Meanwhile, there will be a new Mass Effect novel titled Deception coming out this Fall.

• You want some early Mass Effect 3 details from Game Informer? Of course you do.

• If Akai Katana Shin doesn't come out to the U.S., at least you'll know how to play if you watch the instructional videos.

• A Streets of Rage fan remake that took 8 years is finally finished. It has new characters, 100+ stages, new cut-scenes, 8 endings, and is free to play.

• Vicious Cycle has detailed the new and old giant insects in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon.

• Duke Nukem Forever will have lots of girls doing things to Duke.

•  You could get your name in BioShock: Infinite. Neat.

• There's now a trailer for the Super Street fighter IV Arcade Edition DLC, featuring Evil Ryu and Oni.

• There will be more Gears of War games after GoW3, but they won't star Marcus.

• After being put on hold, Mega Man Legends 3 is back on track. However, it still may be not officially green-lit yet.
