Castlevania Figures in Hi-Res We've seen the Castlevania prototypes at the San Diego Comic-Con already, but Toy News International got a hold of some hi-res images of the figures. The sculpting and paint on the slightly cartoonish figures can be seen in greater detail thanks to the large images. Most importantly, the Succubus doesn't have that uncomfortable and sticky tape over her cleavage. It's out for the world to see. Maybe her taped over cleavage at SDCC wasn't yet finished because it appears to be fine. There was certainly worse, or maybe better, cleavage at the con. It looks like each of the figures is shown with all their included accessories. We see that the succubus not only comes with the little knife-throwing jerk, but also an axe. Alucard comes with a sword and two of his sub-weapons: the cross and Holy water. He also rocks a big meaty piece of meat. Tasty. Dracula has a bat, a pocket watch, and a eyeball on a chain. Hero Simon Belmont is well-equipped with a mace, sword, dagger and a pair of candles so he can always find extra hearts and money. It's a little weird that he doesn't have whip, though. Maybe that is something that has yet to be revealed. The figures are all in standard standing, non-action poses, so the real amount and quality of the articulation remains elusive. There seem to be a few ball joints here and there, though. Those that enjoy positioning their little plastic dudes can probably have some kind of a decent pose. If the estimated release date from Comic-Con holds true, the figures should be out in October. Small pictures do not do these justice, so head to Toy News International for the big hi-res shots. - Shawn - 08/16/07 |
