Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Halo, and Sony Minimates at C2E2

Diamond Select's Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Minimates had their public physical debut at C2E2 over the weekend. The photos you see come courtesy of Action Figure Times. From the photos, it looks like on display were Dante, Trish, Viewtiful Joe, Morrigan, Ryu, Zero, Wesker, Crimson Viper, Wolverine, Deadpool, Captain America, Iron Man, Dormammu, Task Master, Phoenix, and Super Skrull. We've seen the concept art, but it doesn't look like Amaterasu, Arthur, Chun Li, or Felicia were on hand. I'm really interested to see what the Amaterasu Minimate is actually going to look like.

I have a feeling the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Minimates could be hard to find.

According to OAFE, who was at the Minimates panel, the MVC3 Minimates should be out in July or August. All the characters in the game will be Minimate-ized except for two or three of them because they just can be done as Minimates. I find that strange because if Diamond can make Amaterasu and possibly even M.O.D.O.K. as Minimates, who wouldn't they be able to make? I'm guessing Shuma is probably one of them, with maybe Tron Bonne the other. They could still make Tron without the robot suit, at least.

Never thought I'd see Viewtiful Joe as a Minimate.

Seeing Zero is going to make fans want a entire line of Mega Man Minimates.

Diamond had new Halo Minimates on display with more box sets, Toy R us two-packs and three new Warthogs. It look like there will be a Warthog with a Gauss cannon, Rockets, and possibly a laser. Also, according to OAFE at the panel, four series of Halo Minimates are planned and there might be a 10th Anniversary wave.

Those squished-up Warthogs are the coolest part of the Halo Minimates.

Then there are the Sony Minimates. The Sony Minimates were on display with their final packaging, with Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and Uncharted packs. I like all the characters, but for some reason I don't like the look of them as Minimates. For some reason they just seem to lack something that the other Minimates have. The Sony Minimates just seem to lack something. Maybe its charm.
