Halo Series 7 Will Drive to the Target I always thought it was weird that Target never got into stocking McFarlane Toys' Halo figures. Why wouldn't they want a piece of the oh-so profitable Halo figure pie? Whatever the reason was, it will soon be behind them as Halo Series 7 will finally be available at Target stores in January 2010, when Series 7 is scheduled to hit shelves. It looks like McFarlane Toys is now able to make figures based on the two older in the Halo universe, that's Halo 1 and Halo 2, because Tartarus and his Mohawk make their McFarlane debut with a Gravity Hammer. Recon armored Dare from ODST and Sgt. Forge from Halo Wars help Series 7 cover all the Halo bases. Of course there are also the Spartan and Elite Variants, with a steel-colored Hayabusa, orange Security, blue Rogue, and a yellow Elite pilot. The Hayabusa and Security are exclusive to GameStop and Toys 'R' Us respectively, but Target won't get left out of the exclusive pot for their first Halo series. Target's exclusive is the Weapons Pack. Okay, that's actually a really crappy exclusive considering I already bought the exact same thing in Series 5. I guess since Target hasn't been in the Halo toy biz as long, they think that their customers will need to stock up on extra weapons right away. Now for the good stuff. The end of the post at Spawn.com says, "And we still have a few more Halo surprises planned that are guaranteed to "drive" up your excitement in the coming weeks." I'm pretty positive that means we'll be seeing a McFarlane Toys Warthog. Soon. Awesome. - Shawn - 11/20/09
