Hallmark makes a Galaga ornament. That was more than enough for me to bravely venture into the unknown territory of a Hallmark store. The ornament is the classic Galaga arcade cabinet standing approximately 4.25-inches tall and has authentic-looking detailing. The joystick does not move, but when you press the fire button the "screen" and marquee light up and the Galaga theme plays, followed by the sounds of a the player ship fighting off the Galaga horde, and eventually being blown to smithereens. It's fantastic. It may be a little pricy at $18.50, but when it comes to Galaga, there is no such thing as price. You can hang it on a tree, but its height makes it almost the perfect size for G.I. Joe figures, which my photo clearly shows is the single best use for the Galaga ornament. Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes can't get enough of this. Their high-scoring Galaga matches shall be as deep as their own ninja rivalry.
