Folding@home DMB Team

Don't look up. A folding protein could be above you right now.

Protein folding was a mystery to us, and likely many gamers, until Sony buddied-up with Stanford University to bring Folding@home to the PLAYSTATION 3. I won't get into all the details since I'm no scientist, so read up on everything at the Stanford site or watch this video interview with Dr Marks if you want all the details. While you wait for the slow trickle of good games to come out for the PS3 you can help with cancer, Alzheimer's, Huntington's, and Parkinson's research. The program is very easy to set up and you can run it when you please. Not only does it have a slick interface showing the Earth and the protein work unit assigned to your system, but you'll be using the power of the PS3 for the good of all mankind.

Digital Monkey Box now has a Folding@home team, appropriately called DigitalMonkeyBox.com, and our own Folding@home page. Whether you are on a PC, Mac, or PLAYSTATION 3, set your team number to 55203 and join us in the good fight to battle cancer with our patented ninjitsu laser protein strikes of fury. It's easy to do. Just open up the Folding@home menu, go to identity, and enter the team number. We'll be sure to thank all of our team members in the near future and I know you all have the thanks of Stanford and anyone this program may eventually save.
