BioShock 2 Special Edition Brings the Vinyl I was expecting there to be a special Edition for BioShock 2, but I certainly wouldn't have thought that it would come with a vinyl record. The Cult of Rapture revealed the BioShock 2 Special Edition today, and yes, the massive 13" x 13 " box that houses everything contains a 180g vinyl record of the orchestral score of BioShock 2. 2K obviously assumed that many of us don't have a record player, so there is also the soundtrack on CD. The big box also contains three vintage ad posters from Rapture and an artbook. The artbook isn't one of the small 32-page books that comes with every other collector's edition nowadays, but a hefty 164-page hard cover; it's the real deal. Before this was announced I was half-expecting to see the special edition containing another figurine, perhaps of the Big Sister or original Big Daddy, but since NECA is making BioShock figures there's no need for it here. Besides, that vinyl is just too damn cool, even if I can't actually play it. BioShock 2 SE will be $100 and have a limited one-time only production run. The Cult of Rapture says to stay tuned for an official unboxing video, but I don't see why people get so excited over stuff being unboxed.
