Fat Guy Stuck in The Internet - Wow, this one really
took me by surprise. The plot is sort of like Tron, except it's a fat guy
that gets
stuck in the internet and not Jeff Bridges. I was really expecting this one to
be a lot less funny than it ended up being. It took about halfway through before
I was fully onboard, but once I was I had been hooked. Mind you, I wasn't too
keen on everything that went down like the Kazaa dude (the sock over his man
junk was hilarious, though), but there were a lot of great jokes that worked.
Verdict: Pass
Drinky Crow Show - Drinking is funny. Pirates are
funny. Sex jokes are funny. Why didn't I find this funny? Sure Drinky Crow
had some great moments, but there was just som thing about it that really didn't
click with me. I did enjoy all the gratuitous violence, but I'm not sure if I'd
watch another episode.
Verdict: Fail
Let's Fish - Seriously, what's with all the live action
shows? Well, at least Let's Fish is a hybrid live action/cartoon mix that has
two guys out on a fishing trip having adventures. Let's Fish really had me at
the appearance of the racist fantasy, but started losing me a bit after that.
I'd really enjoy to see a couple of more episodes to see where this one was
going.
Verdict: Pass
Lowe Country - Again, another live action show. I'm
really not sure what to make of this. The Lowe in this show is George Lowe, the
guy who voices Space Ghost. It's a kind of documentary of sorts where a camera
follows Lowe around. The problem with getting to know voice actors is that now
when I see Space Ghost, I'm going to think about this guy. I don't want that.
Combine this with the fact that it's incredibly boring, it will almost be a
personal favor to me if Adult Swim never airs this again.
Verdict: Fail
Super Jail - Super Jail answers the question, "What if
Willy Wonka ran a prison?" If Super Jail does one thing right, it does a
great job at recreating the type of bizarre visualizations seen in old 60s
psychedelic animation like Yellow Submarine and mashes it up with a Beavis and Butthead kind of
art style. Unfortunately, that's the only thing it does right. Super Jail super
sucks.
Verdict: Fail
That Crook'd 'Sipp - Old South meets New South,
combined with some swamp monster action. Not my cup of tea, but others might
like. Still, I have no desire to watch any other episodes.
Verdict: Fail
