Weird Stuff in Comics 3 Everyone's favorite feature is back! Okay, maybe it's just mine, but finding really bizarre stuff in old comic books pleases me a lot more than it should. In honor of the deceased (at least in comics) Captain America and in the spirit of July Fourth, I present to you one of the weirdest things to appear within the pages of a comic book: An ad for Captain America: The Musical!
From the extensive research I've done, which mainly consisted of looking at Captain America's Wikipedia page, I've sadly confirmed that a Captain America musical never opened. Thus died the greatest thing to never exist. I smell some sort of Nazi plot here, because I can't imagine why this didn't premier on Broadway. There are only so many things in life you can hope to see before you die and a singing, dancing, top hat wearing, cane carrying Captain America would definitely have to be one of them. - Paul - 07/04/07 |
